The Mission of The Student Ministries of First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales is to PRESENT Christ, His Word, and His Church to students, to PREPARE them to follow Him throughout their lives, and to PROPEL them into life after high school with Christ as their focus.

Servanthood Opportunities
Lake Wales Care Center; Stay-At-Home-Work-Camp
Stay-at-home Work Camp and Thanksliving Camp are opportunities for our youth to serve and meet real needs in our community through the Lake Wales Care Center.
Mission Trips
Mission Trips provide our High School Students with multiple opportunities to get out of their comfort zone by meeting new people, serving in different capacities, and sharing their faith with others. We plan to regularly provide our students with these experiences and service opportunities both domestically and internationally.
Other Youth Events
Camps
Horizon & Quest are summer conferences for our Middle and High School Students. They are a week-long opportunity for spiritual growth and development, fellowship, and teaching on pertinent information from God’s Word. The goal of this conference is to send young people out into their world, spiritually nurtured, fed and equipped to live out their faith and share it with those around them.
Student Scholarship Application:
For students needing assistance to attend camps, retreats, and other events, scholarships are available. Please reach out directly to Walker Kirkpatrick, and he will work with you to help ensure your student has an opportunity to participate.
Retreats
Winter Retreats are a weekend retreats geared toward our Middle and High School students. Students will join together as students and leaders from all across Florida to worship through song and God’s Word!
Family Fun Days
A couple of times a year our church as a whole partners with First Presbyterian Church of Frostproof to have interdenominational events. These range from our annual cardboard regatta to chili cook-offs, and much more.
Fun Outings
We have multiple opportunities throughout the year for Christ-centered fellowship and fun like movie nights, game nights, fun days, and Middle and High School outings!
